Dried oregano - Selection of Spices from the East - Ruca

They are the flowering, healthy, clean and dried tops of Origanum vulgare and Origanum virens; They have a greenish color, very aromatic when rubbed. Although it is a typically Mediterranean plant, it is currently grown in many countries; our most common origins are Chile and Peru.

TRICKS ON HOW TO USE OREGANO IN THE KITCHEN:

  1. Mainly in dishes with tomato sauce,in pastas and pizzas.
  2. In broths, or in digestive liquors.
  3. To marinate the meat with which they are prepared some sausages.
  4. In salads.
  5. To aromatize oils or vinegars.
  6. In infusions or herbal teas, at the rate of a teaspoon per cup, you can use the crushed dried flowers and leaves and sweeten with honey.
