Black pepper, crushed, crushed, quartered into large pieces, is used in both savory and sweet dishes. We find it as part of a multitude of mixtures from various countries, such as curry or masala (India), shichimi toragashi (seven Japanese spices that replace the more expensive sechuán pepper), baharat (Gulf coast), zhoug (Yemen) and ras el hanout (Morocco). It also appears in the preparation of sauces, such as beamesa or white mustard. In desserts, it combines with fresh strawberries, chocolate and gingerbread, etc.
